calgary focus group
- thank you to eden
- expecting 5-10 people
morning session: what the guide is right now, how it was done last year
- break into two groups: divide guide into parts and talk about what could use help, the good the bad and the ugly
- after lunch discussion on how to deliver the guide
- tutorial on how to edit the guide
- break-out sessions on improving the navigation
- social == dinner
- tentative attendance: taneille, eden, mate, adil, mubdi, kimberly richards, and a few maybes
- moderators: taneille, eden
- have access to wireless internet and such
- will give participants notes taken at previous focus groups in toronto
work sessions, montreal and toronto
- one-paragraph things are being worked on
- lots of people signed up and will get lots of work done
- will email people the paragraphs and ask who wants to do what during the day and try to accomodate
- i.e. podcasts, give summary for important sections and have people take up ideas, write short scripts and then rotate throughout the day to get everything done
(if they don't volunteer, they'll get voluntold)

- stepping up audience: people *at* regional fairs
pre-canada wide webcasts
- green light: will be getting support
- will need to discuss specifics of how we wants these things to run
- should put together an hour of content and such
ideas:
- small survey at regional level of what the students themselves want to learn about
- possibly build survey into online registration
- ask things like:
- hardest things about the science fair
- use data from pilot project
- broadcast quality, hosting at cbc studios downtown toronto (current dream)
- homework: specific ideas for the webcast
- can also discuss it at the focus groups
- next conference call two weeks from now
